July 2007

Of Love and Loyalty
Conversations with the Moon

The full moon of this month happens on Saturday, June 30th at 6:50am Pacific Time, in the lunar sign of Purva Ashadha.

This full moon in Purva Ashadha gives us the opportunity to set an intention that can't be beat. The closer this intention is to the true desire of your innermost heart, the more support you'll receive from serendipity. (Hint: You know you're close when you feel tenderness and the willingness to be vulnerable, in the midst of your invincibility.)

This particular full moon draws attention to relationships - who you are in relationship to others, how you want to be. What's the ideal balance of self development and compromise in relationship?

Loyalty, the support of friendship, the strength of enduring love, and shooting for an ideal in love, are all qualities of this particular full moon.

Planning & Scheduling
Living In Accord With The Seasons

Sundial Venus moves into Leo on July 4th, joining Ketu, the south node of the moon, and eventually being joined by Saturn in that sign. This is a time for cautious, slow, deliberate, responsible and self-reliant actions to ensure creative, romantic, and business successes. The emotional climate may be less than optimistic, but should ensure a healthy dose of necessary humility in these worthy undertakings.

The Sun moves into Cancer on July 17, receiving a trine from Jupiter, bringing generosity and forgiveness onto our domestic and family scene.

Mars is in his own sign of Aries all month, giving us some energy to get things accomplished. What gets accomplished depends on which house of your chart is occupied by Aries.

Mercury is still retrograde until July 9. If possible, wait to begin important new projects until after Mercury goes direct, as things begun under Mercury retrograde have a tendency for developing complications.

A Thought On Romance

Why tell the child inside you that there is no Santa Claus, when you could wrap presents and stir up wild-eyed delight, and let her see how you bring him to life?

(In honor of Venus conjunct Saturn opposite Neptune)
